About Us

Seger Surgical Solutions is developing the first easy-to-use closure device that enables 100% laparoscopic anastomosis.

Seger was founded in Israel in 2017. A portfolio company of The Trendlines Group, Seger is located in the Misgav Industrial Park in Israel’s Western Galilee.

Seger’s Novel Solution – LAP IATM

Bowel resection surgery involves removing all or part of the intestine. After resection, the surgeon creates a common opening in the two bowel sections to connect them (anastomosis).

Laparoscopic bowel resection and anastomosis is preferred over open surgery because of its clinical benefits to the patient. At present, the majority of these resections and anastomoses are performed outside the abdomen (extracorporeal). The reason for this is the difficulty and complexity of laparoscopic suturing by surgeons.

Seger Surgical Solutions introduces LAP IA 60, a laparoscopic bowel closure device that quickly and securely aligns, closes, and staples the common opening to allow for intracorporeal anastomosis --without the need for suturing.

The device works with a standard 12-millimeter trocar.

With Seger’s LAP IA 60, laparoscopic bowel resection is now 100% laparoscopic!

The LAP IA 60 improves patient care, provides better outcomes, and reduces health care costs.
Improves Patient Care
